Weight loss help, good idea?

I am trying to lose weight. Yes I'm setting baby goals. Right now I have one for 20 lbs by Thanksgiving. I'm wondering if this is realistic? I'm fine if I say 20 and get 15 just as long as I am striving for that bigger chunk. I currently weigh near 190, 5'6. Also I am concerned that if I try to lose the weight too fast I will end up with loose skin. Any and all help is absolutely welcome! Also any tips on exercises that will help me more right now would be great thanks!
