Procedure(s): Head
________________________________________ ________________________________________ ____________

Clinical History: Right arm weakness, hypertension, and smoking.
Possible stroke.

Screening noncontrast brain MRI with an additional FLAIR sagittal
sequence.

Findings:
There is no focus of acute or chronic intracranial hemorrhage. There
is no intra-axial or extra-axial mass or fluid collection. The
ventricles and peripheral CSF spaces are fairly symmetric and within
normal limits. The corpus callosum and brainstem look normal. There is
no abnormal focus of parenchymal signal. There is no focus of
restricted diffusion to suggest an acute infarction. Overall, there
has been no definite change since the study 9/11/2011. There is a
mucous retention cyst within the left maxillary antrum. This is new
since the previous study.

Impression:
1. Normal brain MRI.
2. New left maxillary mucous retention cyst and mild left maxillary
mucosal thickening since the study 9/11/2011. There is no paranasal
sinus air-fluid level.
3. Mild symmetric prominence of the adenoids, similar to the previous
examination. There may be a tiny superimposed Tornwaldt's cyst. This
also looks unchanged.

This report was sent as a priority to 2 East on 10/29/2012.
