Are you seeing a urologist, or just a GP? You didn't specify. If not a urologist I'd recommend asking for a referral to one. If you are already seeing a urologist you might want to find another for a second opinion.

Can't help much beyond that. I had epididymitis a couple years ago, and although none of the treatments did a dang thing it did resolve on its own after a few months with no lingering problems.
