I don't think this is fibromyalgia pain. It doesn't cause abdominal pain. Has anyone mentioned possibility of diverticulitis? This is extremely common and affects the left side of colon. It can cause left sided abd. pain, back pain, sometimes fever. You mentioned upper and lower pain. Can you tell which is worse, or is it all the same? The other thing they should check are your pancreatic enzymes, as pancreatitis can cause left upper abd pain that radiates to back above the waist. This is a simple blood test. Is your abdomen tender to exam? Where it is most tender should give clues, as diverticulitis would normally be lower and pancreas issues higher near the stomach. For the endoscopy, you can ask them to give you extra numbing spray in your throat and extra sedation. If you were fighting it before, you weren't sedated enough.
