Seeing a neuro for this issue changed my life (for the better). I was passed from dentist to dentist, was accused of just wanting drugs, and completely ignored until I got ONE doctor who cared to actually listen.

My right side is affected by TN. When I first felt it, it started out dull, but eventually escalated into the sharp shooting pains that most people describe. I feel it first behind my cheek, but it quickly radiates to behind my eye (this is the worst for me), my gum, and it does occasionally make my ear throb and ring.

I do hope your Neurologist is able to control your symptoms. Good luck doll.
