Re: Scalp Psoriasis?

The scalp is where my psoriasis first appeared. The scalp treatment I was put on was a horrible oily alcohol based liquid applied before bedtime while wearing a shower cap. That was 18 years ago. I totally understand the frustration of not having insurance. In your case I would suggest the OTC shampoo Nizoral. I messed around for years with the T-gel, T-sal, and countless others. I used Nizoral with great results before it went OTC. Its a bit more pricey than the others, but far more effective from my experience with it. For those of you with insurance, there is a prescription topical foam with the brand name OLUX(generic-clobetasol propionate) They have it in cream, but the foam wont make you look like Elvis all day. 3x a day for less than a week made my scalp smooth as a baby's butt.
