I have never heard of a cold sore patch I will have to look into that for my own knowledge but if you were receiving oral without a condom then the chances are still going to be there because it isn't only where the outbreak is that risks transmitting the virus. I suggest you get tested in 4 months via IgG herpes type specific blood test to make sure you are clear.
