Yes that's probably why you are feeling this way. My sister, 58, had the decompresion 4 years ago. Hasn't had any issues since. Before her surgery, she would quickly get terrible headaches, and almost pass out. Once she even fainted. So do be careful if you experience any of those symptoms. Beurologist should be able to give you advice on section question.
