I wouldn't rule out sleep apnea necessarily. Did you know that sleep apnea causes anxiety and acid reflux both conditions that you have? Also the gasps also point to a sleep breathing problem. Definitely get tested with a sleep study. They can be expensive without insurance - from $2k - $6k. With insurance the co-pay is only a few hundred dollars.
