Re: New to forum. Lumbar and cervical spine problems

Hi I just read your post. Forgive me if I missed something but you stated after many months of visiting your GP you had an MRI.

Have you consulted with an orthopedic or neurosurgeon at all? If you have and I didnt see it in your post please forgive me. But from what I rerad and see this should not be in the hands of your GP.

You need an ortho or neuro doctor that is specifically trained in and treats daily spine related issues.

Your MRI concerns me when you talk about numbness etc.

Please consult if you havent done already with a specialist.

I have had spine issues for 25 years. My history is that I have had surgery several times to the lumbar area ; several surgeries to the cervical area and both areas have Harrington Rods.

I am now going on Friday for an Intrathecal Pain pump to deal with the pain. I have had disc issues; stenosis; numbness in my legs; weakness in my arms and the list goes on and on.

Have you been thru any type of medication routine or physical therapy?

Please let me know and then I can write more. Again I urge you to see a specialist.
