Hello All!
I'm hoping to get some feedback. I had ossicular chain reconstruction surgery about a month ago. They replaced my stapes bone with a prosthetic and the results have been pretty astonishing. The only thing is that about a week ago, I started to develop this "blown-out speaker" effect. So, sometimes when noises are loud - the sound is like a blown out speaker. This also happens when I speak or laugh loudly. In addition, it occurs at moderate volumes when I wear head phones.
Has anyone experienced this? Is it part of the healing process? Or does this indicate the need for corrective surgery?
Thanks!! I appreciate any feedback.
