Our experience was different than this. Our dd's diagnosis of RSD came from the PM doctor. The podiatrist told us about a "pain syndrone" but he wanted her to see the pain specialist to determine if she actually had RSD. The PM doc looked through the pain survey we had to fill out and diagnosed RSD immediately, based on her answers.
Lots of variations among doctors, which we experience every time we go through those office doors!!
