Re: Pancreatic cancer

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom! 50 is so young! My mother in law is 82 and has Alzheimer's, as well. She is very jaundiced but, so far, in no pain. She seems a bit tired, but she has always had SO much energy that it's weird to see her tired at all! She is eating tiny little bits of food, and still drinking small amounts of fluids at a time. She has lot weight from 102 down to 93. So far, those are her only symptoms. We are not doing chemo or radiation. At her age, and with her underlying Alzheimer's, we decided to opt for comfort care only. Because of her mental status, she really has no idea she is sick, which actually helps. We are determined to be as cheerful as we can around her and we are doing our best to keep her content and comfortable as long as we can.

I will keep you and your mom in my prayers!
