Hello Guys

I'm a 49 year old diagnosed in July of 2012. I am 2 weeks post-op RALP. My original gleason was 3+3=6, PSA 9.3. After my surgery the pathology was changed to 3+4=7, T3 stage as the cancer had gone to the bladder neck. My pathology report shows all negative margins so my surgeon thinks he got it all.

My biggest problem has been the foley cath. I had the cath removed 11 days post op. I had to go back yesterday because I could not urinate. Meatal stenosis over the pee hole so had to be re-cathed. Now the 1st cath I had was done during my RALP so I was completely out. The one I got yesterday was done with me wide awake. It was the most excruciating experience of my life.

Anyone else this bothered with these caths? My Dr. seems to feel that it should not be that big of a problem. I am on otc tylenol for discomfort as they would not prescribe me anything stronger. Is this normal?
