Hi

My wife has been diagnosed with Syphilis during the first trimester (In the 12th week to be precise). She has had no symptoms of Syphilis ever in her life. I have tested negative for Syphilis

Her

FTA Antibody test came - reactive
RPR test came - reactive
RPR dilution came - 1:4

She has been treated with 2 penicillin shots in last 2 weeks and she is going to get another penicillin shot next week.
Is it safe to proceed with the pregnancy at this stage or there are chances that baby can still get infected or is already infected with the Syphilis bacteria
