Honestly, why are you overthinking this whole thing? You are going to drive yourself crazy and still not lose any weight.
Bottom line.... just eat less. Cut your portions in half. Eat what you want, just less of it. I'm not advocating eating the bad stuff, but if you think you must have that cheeseburger, then eat half of it. Always leave food on your plate. Make smaller portions to start with so you aren't tempted to eat all of it. Become the left over champion.... always make sure you have half of your meal left so you can eat it at the next meal. It will save you time, money and calories.
