I agree with Midwest totally, I was on D2 but read up on it and started on D3. It took no time for my levels to rise, my very next test had it within range but still needed to be a bit higher. I also take 5000 ui of d3 and won't reduce until next test says it is still in range. I live in oz and we have sun most of the year but we do have a problem absorbing! I have recently been to,d by a specialist that the best place to absorb sunlight for d3 is in the "long bones" upper arms and thighs along with eyes, that may be of some use to you
