When my vertigo is at its worse, I lie down and rest until it is better. The worst case I had put me in bed for 3 days. Sometimes, for me, the vertigo can be controlled if I avoid using my peripheral vision. I maintain my focus point in front of me and avoid using peripheral vision.

I do not know what signs or triggers you might have, but the peripheral problem is where mine starts. My worst vertigo was back in 1982, but I was not "trigger aware" back then!
