My guess is the neck gland situation is from chronic inefction in the throat or tonsils and probably unrelated to legs. To figure out if your legs have swelling. in the evening, take an ankle and calf circumference measurement on both, then lie down for 2 hrs with legs/feet elevated above chest level. Then take another measurement to compare to the one before. If the meausrement is about the same, there is little/no fluid. If there is a big difference, like more than 2 cm, you have fluid. It would be unusual for fluid to affect legs and not feet, so you may just have thick legs based on genetics. If it is swelling, a Dr consult is needed to find out why.
