Re: Sudden Muscle Fatigue/Can't use muscles

Hi Caf2267,
Welcome to healthboards.

I don't think you have too much to worry about with MS.

Multiple Sclerosis isn't a muscle disorder...its a nerve disorder, specifically of the central nervous system. What you are describing, sounds much more like a vitamin deficiency or possibly hemochromatosis , which would give you the symptoms you describe. I'm assuming you are seeing a hematologist? Have they done any ANA levels or more blood work?

You could see a neurologist and do some neurological testing; however this really doesnt sound much like MS.....MS presents like 400 other diseases, and what you listed isnt specific to MS - but very general...unfortunately, without any neurological testing, there just isnt any way to know what is going on.

Honestly though, knowing alittle about hemochromatosis , Id say that its highly possible this is what is causing your symptoms...and if you are dealing wit Celiac as well- that would answer the constipation and possibly even cognitive issues....

What kind of doctor are you dealing with in order to get to the route of this?
Nikki
