manipulation under anesthesia (MUA) experiences

I am undergoing a manipulation under anesthesia (MUA) and a arthroscopic capsular release next week due to a frozen shoulder complication from a shoulder dislocation in September 2012. I am usually not scared of procedures, but this one has me quaking in my boots. I had a rotator cuff repair and biceps tenodesis in November (from the same injury).

Anyone have experience with a MUA? What was the post-op pain like? Did you do it out-patient or in-patient? The doctor mentioned both were an option (for pain management, I imagine) but I chose out-patient.

I would appreciate anyone sharing their experiences (even if negative.) I would particularly like to hear from anyone has had this due to an injury rather than idiopathic frozen shoulder.
