Thank you for the reply. they said that the reason was muscular more than jaw related. They did a pressure test when I began the treatment that confirmed that my bite was off and my muscle was being pulled to one side. My left side was overcompensating for the uneven bite. I have been having neck and shoulder pain, as well as brain fog and head tension for months and this doctor was my last resort after numerous ENT, neurologists, brain scans, and even physical therapy.
I should mention that they polished the teeth or shaved off some impurities. They said it was like 1/1000th of a shave or something. Still I don't get why I am wearing a splint at night when they could have done this in the beginning to bring the pressure percentage down.
