Both extractions that I had were done with novacaine and a valium for anxiety ahead of the procedure. The alternative was to be put under which I did not consider necessary and wasn't an issue. Many years back I did have 2 wisdom teeth pulled and was put under at that time. I had no complications for any of the extractions as both took about 10 days to 2 weeks to fully heal (to where I felt that I could eat normally again) which is typical. The gums take some months to fully heal but the first 2 weeks is the worst and where you have to be careful.
The one front tooth I had a root canal on I never had it crowned and have had no issues with it since the procedure was done a couple of years back. The other 2 I had crowns put on. Typically if you are having sensitivity in my cases it typically got worse until I had some work done. If you have enough inflammation in a back tooth it could impact some of the other teeth in terms of sensitivity if it gets bad which is called referred pain. Its good that you are going in to see the dentist!

Hi again, I ended up changing my dentist appt to June 19th as I really want to delay having to extract my molar and want to see if the pain goes away. The inflammation seems to have died down but still hurts a bit, but the teeth near that area and the front top teeth doesn't feel right anymore, especially after i brush my teeth, just this weird feeling hard to describe like kinda numb or tender.
My front bottom tooth is still very sensitive especially eating cold and hot. I already asked 2 dentists about this, one tells me to use sensitive toothpaste coz if she fills it she will have to shave it down a bit and she doesn't want to do that. the other dentist was going to fill it but says it will break off again after sometime because of eating, and ended up not filling yet coz he says he is out of time and probably had to go to lunch. I feel like no dentists want to help me.
Are there other remedies for the sensitive one due to being chipped down to the dentin? I heard something can be applied on top to protect it or something? I been so stressed about this whole situation, don't know what I can do anymore besides bear with this pain.
