Angry nerve damage after broken leg

Hello!

My son had a very bad auto accident in 8/2002. He broke 3 bones in his right leg. The Tibia bone was broken just below the knee and just above the anke. The fibia was broken in the back of his leg. The leg has healed very well. The problem now is that he can't feel his toes or the top of his foot. We have been told that he has Peripheral nerve damage that may not be reversed. I have been to a nerve specialist and she did a test that gave us some info but said she didn't that that Physical Therapy would help much. He has been going to the theapy 3 days a week for the past 2 weeks. He seems to be about to move is ankle a bit now but not much. We also got a Orthotic for his shoe to help keep his foot up as it just seems to hang.

Can anyone help? Has anyone had this same problem?

Thanks,

JM
