Re: Post Surgery Tips

Hello Carken,

I want to wish you the best of luck with your surgery.
No, I didn't have my surgery at the spine and joint hosp.
(I did have all my injections there though) mine was done at mother francis, as for as my recovery goes, I am doing really good, I walk 2 miles everyday (in under 30 min.) I can pretty much do just about anything except lifting or pulling. I go back Jan. 6, I cant wait to see if I am fusing yet. best of luck to you, and if you have any more questions please ask.
Debbie
Debbie,

I see where you had a PLIF in Tyler, Texas. I will also have one there, probably the week after Christmas - date isn't set yet. Was yours at the Texas Spine and Joint Hospital?

Where are you in your recovery? I'm in excellent health, other than this old back, but I'm also 62 years old. I'm just wondering about the recovery period. I teach 5th grade, and wonder if I'll even go back this semester.

Thanks,
Carken
