One thing I do is spray everything they touch with lysol or some other disinfectant spray. I also use clorox or lysol wipes. I wash all bedding, clothes and blankets separately from everybody else's in hot water. And I wear the latex disposable (doctor type) gloves any time I clean up after them. To save on dishes I give them their drinks and food in little dixie cups and paper plates. I also cover all the carpet that leads to the bathroom with blankets. Saves on scrubbing carpet if they don't make it. I wash my hands even after the gloves and disinfect the sinks and bathtub too including faucets. Clorox wipes are good for that and the flusher handle. Most of the time children are contagious before they actually start any symptoms. That's the bad part because they don't know they are feeling sick until it happens. Like an adult sometimes can feel it coming on a little bit. I also keep my kids separated and don't let anyone use the bathroom that the sick person was in unless of course you only have one bathroom then just clean it very good in between uses.
