Hello kathyp and welcome.

Having a psychological disorder, more often than not, has its way of making a bad situation feel that much worse.
Are you currently seeing a therapist, in order to help you work through your unfortunate situation/s ?

No one deserves to be put down,as it tends to weigh down a persons self-esteem and may begin to manifest itself in other ways. One of those is producing unwanted physical ailments.

If you would like to discuss this further, know that we are here for you to offer advice, support, opinions.......even if you just need to vent.
Know also that we are non-judgemental, so feel free to post as often as you like.

Respectfully
Phoenix

that makes sense my self esteem has never really been good except when im manic and then im the greatness thing since sliced bread.Im glad you pointed that out, when im in a deep depression im really sensitive to insults and my thoughts go even deeper. But im not the only one that sees the abuse my three sons also have seen it for many years and often try to defend me.so its probably a combination of both.and one just makes the other worse.i do see a bipolar support group as well as looking into a womens group. thnaks for your reply it got me thinking.
