emergency help! - Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

Please can someone tell me if a sore throat that feels like it's closing, accompanied by sore ears, sore eyes and jaw normal with gerd? I don't want to go to the doctor if this is normal. help!

I did have many of those same symptoms. However, it means that your GERD is out of control. You really need to go see your doctor. You also want to rule out heart conditions that can cause the same symptoms. If it is not your heart, you are definately not being treated appropriately for GERD.

I never had those symptoms, but my symptoms were always very atypical. I mostly have a refluxing feeling in my throat, vomiting, and coughing.

I sounds like you got hit with a bad cold (or the flu), rather than a GERD attack.
