I have had heartburn and reflux for awhile now. I had a bad few days this week with reflux. It seemed better today. I went to bed a little while ago, and my chest started hurting. Sharp, between my breasts. A little towards my right. I felt like I needed to belch, maybe. I got up, I was getting nervous, and started searching.Does this sound normal? I am sure I am just being paranoid. I have been to the ER numerous times, thinking it was my heart, etc. All the testing, everytime came back fine. I suppose I am just worrying too much over it. Thanks.

Well, I don't really know what you mean by you "started searching" (??) but I can tell you that worrying, stress, anxiety (et al) will trigger acid reflux problems.

Were you diagnosed with acid reflux? Have you seen a doctor for it and are you being treated for it?

Tizimare...I was searching the internet for similar symptoms. Several ER drs, and my reg dr said it is reflux. I usually just take Mylanta, Rolaids tonite. Of course, one Er dr said Mylanta is no better than water when you have reflux really bad.

Sounds like my symptoms when I first started feeling it, well except mine usually likes to travel to the left. Try to find your trigger foods, maybe it will help the problem. If you keep hurting for a couple more days I'd suggest going and talking to your doctor. Take care..peace and love
