Globus Hystericus - ALSO POSTED IN ANXIETY BOARD
Hi, my husband who's 34, developed the sensation of a lump in his throat six weeks ago. Basically, as he doesn't like going to doctors, after a month went to an ent specialist who checked his throat and after finding nothing unusual there he confirmed what our gp had already diagnosed - globus hystericus. This is not related to gerd/heartburn. I just wanted to ask and try and find out if anyone else has this, or had this. How they cured/got rid of it and if not, would anyone be willing to share anything that you have found relieves the symptoms? He takes a deanxit every morning, but it's still there and it's presence is really getting him down. Any information or any help re tried and tested "cures" would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
