I am 7 days post op and doing pretty darn good.

Its not as bad as I thought it was going to be...

If you read all of posts everywhere, if you get to the hospital, its a miracle.

I do get the hiccups often, esp when I eat/drink too fast.

Otherwise, no HEARTBURN.

Hi that sounds great! did it eliminate acid completely?? also is it painful? was it an outpatient surgery.

im happy it went well for you but for some of us it is not as great as you say i have had more problem's since my surgery than i had before my surgery so for me it was not worth it my gi say's that my system is a mess now nothing works the way it should from top to bottom but i am happy for you

I had heartburn going into surgery and since I came out of surgery NONE!!! Its so peaceful in my system, I LOVE IT!!

I stayed in the hospital Wednesday morning surgery and I was discharged Friday.

It was not nearly as painful and bad as I thought it was going to be. I think if you read everyone's posts on the internet about this surgery you get scared because the 95% of people who had successful procedures are not posting their POSITIVE OUTCOMES.

I would definately do it again and I was scared to death of this surgery.

anyway i wish my doc would do this for me since I am havings ever problems swallwoing because of acid, I was diagnosed with LPR anyway its been so tough nw everyone will have dinner and all i will do is drink a shake, torture for sure, also i can barely swallow water now its horrible, i hope this is over soon.

anyway doc will stretch my esophagus an dif it continues he will do the surgery

how many hrs did it take?

also did you stay at the hospital?

were you able to eat right away?

do you still have to take acid pills?

wereyou able to swallow better after wards?
