| Nexium stopped chronic cough!
I just had to let you know that a man in my small group from church has always had this chronic, persistent cough. If I didn't know better I would say he was a long-time smoker, but he's not. He recently took an offer for a new job, and we were discussing prescriptions and insurance coverage, and he mentioned that Nexium was $50 even WITH his copay! I wondered aloud why he was taking Nexium because I knew that he had back pain, depression and anxiety and just generally seemed to be on edge, but he had never mentioned the problems that seemed to go with acid reflux. Also, he always attributed the coughing to allergies, and was frustrated that nothing helped. People are always passing him cough drops during church. He said the doctor gave him the Nexium and told him the acid was causing the cough. Sure enough, I realized that I couldn't remember the last time I had heard him cough. Certainly not in recent memory. Not at our group discussions, nor at church. Just thought it was interesting and might be helpful to someone out there!
