How many of you take 2 PPI's in the morning? - Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

Just wondering how many of you do this. I now have to take 300 mg of zantac at night also. I have LPR and rarely have problems with it at night so it seems strange for me to have to take another pill before going to sleep. I usually take my aciphex in the am and then again between 4:30 and 5 pm. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Lori

I haven't taken 2 PPIs at once either morning or night, I'm sort of afraid to although I've considered it. I'm afraid I'll get more intense side effects because the dose will be higher all at once.

I tried taking 2 prevacid in the morning instead of separating the doses for about 2 weeks, didn't notice a difference and didn't have a rash of horrible side effects. I think that if you have already suffer from side effects, then it's probably not a great idea, but if you aren't really suffering from any side effects, or they are very minor, go for it.
