Hi, as much as I've seen stats on GERD leading to esophageal cancer (maybe overall 2.5%), I haven't seen any stats on the chances of developing any kinds of throat-area cancers from LPR. Not that I've really researched. Just that unlike Barrett's/cancer, I've never seen it even incidentally mentioned about the chances when you have LPR symptoms. Just that one could get some kind of cancer. Anyone know?
not sure, but i know they say smoking is a big risk factor for throat cancer is you have lpr. i think one stufy i read even said amlost everyone the study found to have throat cancer from lpr, smoked.
