Advice needed-strange throat symptoms- - Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

Hi guys

For the past 2 weeks ive been having irritation in my throat and an unexplained hoarseness when I wake up every morning, lasting for a few minutes and caused my Mucus. I have no other symptoms besides these. Ive been told this might be caused by acid reflux and other stomach symptoms. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Aren't most people hoarse upon waking?

Most likely it is ACid Reflux or GERD like you think.

john, welcome,are you new here? I just found these boards, and they ahve helped me so much. I did not know there was such a thing as LPR and I am goiing to my gastro next week with many questions. The throat thing is all related. I still wake up through the night and cough/clear my throat. Before the Aciphex I would gag on phelm when i layed down, I now have a wedge pillow and the meds.
Have you beed to a Dr? Or take anything? It is tough, because it is not something that you get treated for and then it's gone, i think we live the beast we can with it.
