Constantly Bloated! Only Symptom!

Hi,

About 2 months ago my sister convinced me to start taking apple cider vinegar because its so good for you and clears you skin and etc etc....
Anyway, I took it but I took far too much over a 3 day period for my delicate little system. It should be said that prior to this I have never had any problems with reflux or heartburn or acidity in the stomach. On the third day, my stomach became bloated, like I'd just had a thanksgiving dinner. And every day since then it has been constanly bloated. I wake up in the morning and I look like Demi Moore on the cover of Vanity Fair holding her pregnant belly - and Im a male, with a usually flat stomach. I saw my doctor and was tested for h. pylori (negative) and then had a stomach x ray done, where they make you drink this white liquid and then take all these shots of your tummy in various positions. The test came back stating that I had an normal esophagus and stomach but "swelling of the folds in the duodenal cap of mild degree, consistent with mild duodentitis". My doctor told me to take pantoloc once a day in the morning and that eventually, meaning anywhere between 3 weeks and 3 months, the bloating would go away.
Now, since most of the people here are pretty well versed in this area, I just wanted to run this by you and see if it made sense to you. Because I have been taking pantoloc for one month now and have not seen the slightest change at all in my stomach, it is still just constantly bloated (I think distended or inflamed is a better word). I don't have any other symptoms other than some very mild pain to the right of left of my belly button every once in a rare while. I'd like to believe that if I continue to just faithfully take these pantoloc pills this will go away but my body doesn't seem to be telling me that. It feels like there is something going on in there that needs more than pantoloc. I also eat well, avoid acidic foods etc....
Anyone have any advice or smililar situations? I would really appreciate whatevever you have to offer!
Best to all of you!

Alex

Re: Constantly Bloated! Only Symptom!

I understand how your feeling. Ive had this bloating now for the last year, but just started about 6 months ago trying to find out why. I have a morphine pump implanted inside of me for chronic back pain so always thought that was why I was bloated. The morphine can cause alot of side effects. Not from the meds. So Ive now had alot of blood taken, ct,sonogram, mri and now seeing a gastro doctor hopefully hell find something. Today was my first visit and he took blood gave me something for acid reflux and I go back next week to find out the results of blood. Ill try and let you know what comes of it. Im happy he agreed Im bloated and its not just fat. Its really miserable not being able to find pants to wear because of the bloating. Do you feel the same? Itll make you feel depressed no doubt. With all the other tests the only thing they found was my liver is slightly enlarged.

Re: Constantly Bloated! Only Symptom!

Thanks for replying,

I just dont understand how it can be constantly bloated like that with no other symptoms. Aside from some strange, mild 'tangling' pain that I get once in a while, usually on my right side just below my belly button, there is no other symptom. Im frustrated beyond belief. Im wondering what a gastro doctor could possibly discover and then prescribe to fix it. I'm getting an ultrasound done in a week...do you think it could be gallstones?

Re: Constantly Bloated! Only Symptom!

I have gerd and I get attackes no heart burn but I do get verry bad attacks was on all the meds for it and the side effects were just as bad running to the bathroon after each meal and pains in my stomach stop taking the meds .Had my gallbladder removed and still attacks what gives so . I went reaching on the web came to a site A.M.P I tryed it and it worked I took it as stated and my attacks got less the med is a little expencive .I went through three bottles and did everything to the book . I ate the foods they told me to and stayed away from the foods that were bad I told them all meds I was on a the time and followed the program .That was was 2 years ago .And I'm fine only now can I eat some of the foods I'm not allowed to eat like mac and sauce meet balls sauge .I can only eat them one day I can't them two days in a row then I will feel an attack coming on than I eat 3 rolids . 2 years ago all I ate was oatmeal and freina . I came a long way and now I know as before I didn't . And stress has a lot to do with gerd .I have buldging dics in my head and neck that is the spine ...and the med my nero put me on had side effects like gas ...blotting ...I felt like I was 6 mts pregant at home I walked around with my pants opened ...I said hell with this I stopping taking the med and the gas and blotting went away . If you realy want to get rid of gerd take A.M.P no more stomach problems and less attacks .To give you an example of an attack it feels like your chest is tighting you can't breath and can't sit still you have to move and try to breath at the same time the pain on a scale from 1-10 is a 10 they last from 30 min to 35 min and after they go away you are so weak you need to lay down . It's like being a zombie you can't think only rest . I would not wish it on anyone .If anyone of you want the phone number I have it I will give to you or just key in A.M.P and read the web page.
