Hi all.

I have acid reflux and started my Aciphex again for it, which really seems to be helping...however, I woke up this morning with an extremely dry, sore throat and it felt a little like the right side of my throat might be slightly swollen. It also felt like I had drainage in my throat. It made me feel ill
and I ended up coughing really hard and then I got sick. I noticed that there was just a tiny amt. of blood this morning when I got sick and when I had coughed. I'm okay now. I ate and feel better. Could this be part of GERD or did I maybe irritate my already dry throat and this caused a tiny amount of bleeding? I'm freaking out, thinking something is seriously wrong.

This sounds like it could be related to acid coming up in your throat but it could be symptoms of other things as well. I would definetely see your doctor and see what exactly caused the bleeding.

I'm going to call my dr. tomorrow - it's tiny amts. of blood in my mucuous.
