I was recently diagnoses with gerd and hiatal hernia. I have been on Nexium for about 4 mo and for the most part I feel better. The sore throat is gone, most of the heartburn is gone, what I have now is mild. The shortness of breath is gone. However, I still have a cough and feel like I have phlegm to get out, my throat gets really dry and then hurts to swollow, if I keep it wet it doesnt bother me. I occasionally still have a lump feeling in my throat. After I eat I feel like I have "fluid" in my chest. I can cough up a little phlegm and sometimes it goes away and sometimes it doesnt. The feeling had gone away but now it is back. Does anyone else get this wierd fluid feeling?
