After endoscope are u prescribed meds?? - Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

Currently on pariet 20mg twice a day, have endoscope on monday, after the dr has done the scope is he likely to prescribe me new meds?

Also does anyone get throat symptoms around the adams apple area and above it?

I have no idea what would happen with the endo. It all depends on the results. He may have no changes.

As for throat - YES. A huge number of us suffer throat/mouth/ear problems with this.

im getn sore throats all the time these days, after i get rid of one another one seems to come alongs not long after, get pain above the adams apple under each jam. this is the worst disease ever

It depends on his findings. Mine has always spoken to me immediately after the endo and either keeps things the same or writes out something new. I have been on Aciphex for five years now and it keeps things well-controlled. Getting rid of the problem (with the aciphex) is worth a million bucks. (That's probably how much I have spent on the drug in five years). LOL

well considering i have been on pariet for about 9months now im hoping they give me something new to try!
