Before I leave this forum forever ( I hope!)..

I would like to give thanks...

First to the hosters of this great forum...HealthBoards...you are wonderful for having this forum.
I just happened on this forum ( google) late one night as I lay awake suffering and searching the web for some kind of miracle cure.
Reading the posts here I realized I did not suffer alone, and in the end was able to glean more information then if I had read a dozen books.

Secondly but definitely not lastly...the posters on this forum!
Through your agony and heartbreak, through your trial and error, I was able to find a cure for my GERD and LPS!
I really hope all of you find the peace and serenity you need to combat this dreadful affliction.
And I hope you get the relief you are desperatley striving for....I believe there is a cure for everyone that doesn't include a lifetime of meds.

I was able to find mine through diet.
October7 s post can set you in the right direction....and hopefully in the right direction for a cure.

I'll have to be on this diet forever...but in the end it is worth it!
It's only been 4 weeks...but these are the syptoms I no longer have...

1.Golfball in throat/ Trouble swallowing
2.Mucus and excessive swallowing of it
3.Sore or burning throat
4.Shooting pain in jaw, ear etc
5.Headaches
6. Ear stuffiness/pressure and ringing ( I was almost completely deaf in one ear...and every day it gets alittle better)
7. Pain below ribcage and chest.
8.Pain in the arms and back...including tingling
9. Throat gurgling and micro bubbles
10.Feeling I need to burp but can't ( I can burp now after drinking seltzer water and not feel that vomit taste)
11. Shortness of breath...and asthma type feelings
12.Teeth sensitivty and ache
13.Acid taste in mouth
14.General feeling of ill health
15. Eye weariness and sensitivty
There are some I've probably forgotten...

But since I've been on this diet I feel so much better...more energetic, more healthy,...more alive.

I realize now I've been sick( with GERD) alot longer than I thought ...alot longer!. It was only when the most severe symptoms showed up that I did anything about it...better late than never I guess.

I'm in my forties now, yet I can't remember when I felt this good.

Even my chronic back pain ( crushed sciatic nerve) feels more remote and less painful...maybe beacuse the rest of me is healing and I am under less stress because of it.

I'll be on this diet forever...but thats ok, considering the alternative!

So read October 7's post and get going!!! Her information is worth it's weight in gold! You can not put a price on health, and knowing that just a diet change can make you feel so much better...try it!

@October 7...Thank you...and you were right about the rice....After dumping that it even got better.
And thanks for letting people know that there is alternatives to a lifetime of suffering and medications.
