Burning Mouth & Throat! - Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

This is the 3rd day the first two, my throat was sore & burning, now the 3rd day my roof of mouth, tongue are burning bad!

I take Precivad have been on it for several yrs, Paxil & Elivil for Fibromyalgia for several yrs. also, Actonel for several yrs. So I don't think that is it.

I have had burning mouth for a along time but this time is much worse.

Any suggestions?

i don't really know, but i have the same symptoms. plus right below my ribs, above my belly button burns really bad. i've done so much google research about all this. one thing i saw is that a vitamin e deficiency can cause sore throat and mouth. could that be possible in your case? i am totally frustrated with whatever is going on. its such a mystery. is it a vitamin thing? then i think, i wake up feeling so inflammed - could i have a food allergy? the gi doc says it isn't reflux - when i had the bravo capsule in my throat hurt soooooo bad - i was sure he'd say, yup, major reflux. but no - he said i was normal!!!!! so WHAT is causing all this pain????????? arggggggg!!!

I have had a endoscope done a few yrs. ago the Dr. said the area you said showed I was half full yet & of course it was imflamed. He gave me Reglan to take but had a reaction to the pills. It burns there too & I get this awful hungry feeling & if I don't get protein I shake badly. Of course, the protein I take his milk, meat, cheese which in turn makes me burp more. It's a vicious cycle....
