left side pain - Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

Does anyone get pain just under the left side rib cage? I hae had it in and off for the past year and it seemed to coincide with my acid reflux. Is it just trapped gas or irritation? I am slightly concerned but haven't died from it yet so i must no be too bad. Thanx for any thoughts!

YES i get that too, i just got it tonight, it seems to start with my stomach being a little upset, then i get a pain on my left side in my lower ride cage that seems to hurt up to my heart area. like you, i think its just trapped gas.. or something to do with my stomach. it always passes and never stays too long or i'd worry more but i wouldnt worry too much unless your symptoms worsen or become very frequent. when i get it, it hurts like a sharpness and i freak a little but it never stays long enough for it to drive me crazy.

I have been having a dull pain about an inch under my left breast which has now spread to about an inch above. The dull pain is not too bad but I do get sharp shooting pains around that area that have been coming and going. I am getting an echo tomorrow to rule out heart issues, and have been told it could also be my digestive track?

Has anyone else experienced similiar issues? This is making me nervous that I have a heart or lung disease! I am only 32 and am very active!
