Hello,

I do not know if you can help but I will ask the question.
I have a constant problem with excess acid production. Pin in the Gall =
bladder area and rectal burning from acid. Have taken"Omeprosol" plus =
antacids, over prolonged periods of time but the situation returns when =
I stop taking the medication. Nothing I have had so far appears to be ' =
Long term ' effective. could I have a bacterial infection in my Gall =
Bladder which is causing the over production of bile or may be a liver =
infection causing the same? how can this be diagnosed and subsequently =
treated please?

Or can you point me in a direction (other than my own medical =
practitioner) where I could get advice please?

I have been taking this medications for sometime now and I am still far from my normal self.... some of the people here in the forum have been taking it for years but still complain just the same... I am not saying this to discourage you, what I mean to say is that fighting GERD is a long battle and you need tons of patience .. just keep on trying until you find the right thing that works for you... dont be scared to ask questions to your doctor...

GERD can be diagnosed through an endoscope... but if your worried about other possible complication such as gallbladder probs.. ask your doctor to conduct some blood tests.. just hang in there and it helps to search for alternative meds too
