I was diagnosed with acid reflux. I stopped taking the nexium they gave me and it didn't get any worse, except I seem to have these chest pains on the left side - it's sort of in between a pinching feeling and a crampy feeling. It's at the top of my breast sort of towards the center bone, and also sometimes below the breast towards the outside.

I'm 18. Is this acid reflux? or is it normal?

Yes. Acid reflux will cause chest pains. If you have it you need to treat it or risk ruptures of the esphogus.

I just took my nexium, I'll start that again.

It's a scary feeling though. Sometimes it's almost like a wave of panic washing over me, except just in that one spot on my left side of my chest.

I really hate this whole thing so much. I just got diagnosed with a panic disorder too, so my health and my emotions and my life are all messed up right now

How is your sleep?

Sleep apnea can aggrevate and is linked to acid reflux, anxiety, depression, fatigue and much more. Cure the sleep deprivation and many things just go away.

my sleep is absolutely fine, I usually sleep like a rock all through the night. That is the only area of my life that is not effected!
