| GERD?? What do you think?

Glad to have found these boards. I am planning on making an appt with a gastro this week, but just want to know what you think of my recent symptoms. I on and off feel like I have a lump in my throat. I constantly burp, sometimes there is regurgitation but not always. I sometimes have a burning taste in my throat. I get chest pains that are mostly relieved with the burping. Sometimes it is not a pain in my chest, but a tightening or squeezing that is in my upper chest, closer to my neck. I also have a feeling of tightness in the middle of my stomach, like just in between the ribs. Taking antacids really doesn't do much. Neither did Prilosec OTC. I feel like I am going crazy with this and a lower back pain issue that is not going away either. I have seen my general dr. who told me to take the Prilosec. Time to move on for some testing and a real diagnosis, huh? Thanks for reading and giving me your opinions!
