| Dyspepsia from PPI rebound
I have been off of PPIs for about two weeks now. I originally had to stop for an 24 hour impedence test and the doc said if possible stay off the meds until my appointment (this coming Monday). To be honest I dont feel as bad as I thought I would. I mean I have lots of "classic" heartburn but less chest symptoms I had while on PPIs. The thing that has been added now is a burning/nervous feeling in my stomach from time to time that I feel could be related to the acid rebound. Has anybody experienced this? Im thinking maybe some dgl will help to stimulate stomach cell production or whatever it claims. Anything else natural I can take to help? I feel like ginger ale would help but thats not good for heartburn. I could do over the counter acid blockers I guess but I want to see if my body can adjust naturally.
