Well, I hope they help you. Sadly, myself and many here notice that although the acid is reduced, reflux still occurs. If this happens you need Manometry/24 hr ph tests for motility and acid. If you read through the posts here, you will see how difficult and frustrating these horrible symptoms are.
If you DO still get non-acid reflux it won't cause as much structural damage, but can still cause uncomfortable symptoms. I don't think the acid can be totally reduced, because in my case I can taste 'vinegar' all of the time.
My personal view is that acid blocking is like putting on a plaster...we need to find out what we are masking!
