Mucous from gullett? - Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

Hi all, Does anyone feel as though the acidy mucous actuallycomes up from the food-pipe? I am sorry to be so graphic, but this is driving me crazy/er
I have foamy white saliva or mucous which comes up even more if I burp, and tastes of vinegar. This is constant, so in the night chokes me.
I'm taking Nexium at double dose and Zantac/Ranitidine at night - so why do I taste acid constantly? Any-one? Just empathy will do...I'm scared

I have the same mucousy bubbly stuff that comes up when I burp..
I think its from gas bubbles, but am not sure. It's like I foam at the mouth

I don't know what to do about it but just thought I would empathize with you.

I have the same problem. I feel my esophagus narrowing and then I cough up this white foamy mucus....I look just like a cat coughing up a hairball!!!!
I wish knew what causes it. Do you think its a symptom of acid reflux?

Donna - I really hope it IS a symptom of acid reflux and not the other imagined illnesses on my list.
Hey, you might have the answer...we are evolving into cats!!! It's as good a theory as most doctors have ;-)

If that was the reason , at this point I would take. It's just as good as the million other diagnosis I've gotten, but no cure!
Whats the difference?! haha
