I had the endo done 3 years ago and it was NOT bad (for me). They did it under conscious sedation. It was like going to sleep and waking up almost no time later, very nearly unaware of anything having happened. Good luck. I'm going in for another one tomorrow morning and hope it's as easy as the first. Haven't had the pH test done. From what I've read that has to be worse.

I've had both. The PH was more uncomfortable. I had no problems with the Endoscope. I found the Ph more inconvenient than anything. I think the worse part of the Ph was the allergic rash I had on my face from where they taped the tube down.

I think I'm having an endoscopy done around the 19th. My docs are so bad they never tell me anything. Anyhow, I have a terrible gag reflex even as I brush my tongue I get so afraid of going too far in towards my throat so I'm not too fond of the idea. I'd much rather get blood work done instead. <- That on the other hand is fun to me because it doesn't bother me at all. Now thinking about it, I'd rather much go for in for an endoscopy than a colonoscopy which I'm sure one of these days I may have to face due to my mild colitis.
