you could also try a tablespoon of honey. It might coat your throat as it goes down and give you some relief.

have you tried to determine what the problem might be? Have you gone for any testing? I am uncertain whether or not to pursue this right now as I have other medical issues to worry about. I will mention my stomach issues & the lump-in-throat to the doc again though. Since you've had yours for three years, try having it checked.
